SOCAR AQS
SOCAR AQS is an integrated drilling and well services management company established in 2007 between State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Nobel Energy Limited and Absheron Qazma LLC (AQS).
While one of the JV partners, SOCAR, brings over 160 years of industrial oil well drilling experience to SOCAR AQS, another partner, AQS, furnishes advanced drilling technologies and new management methods to the company.
SOCAR AQS is a member of IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) since 2009 and it has adopted the principle of compliance with all international standards, and provides high-quality services with proven high added values to clients.

SOCAR AQS operates a total of 6 Rigs, two of which are cyber rigs. All 6 of the rigs are operated off the coast of Azerbaijan in the Umid, Gunashli, West Absheron, Bulla-deniz fields.
The company also operates up to 6 drilling rigs of varying sizes in Turkey, on the Tuz Golu UGS project, to drill the wells in the most efficient manner allowing for the technical requirements of the drilling programme.
As part of its ongoing international development goals and expanding its capacity to deliver complex onshore and offshore drilling projects while maintaining significant cost efficiency, SOCAR AQS, together with KCA Deutag, formed a Turan Drilling & Engineering joint venture (JV) in 2018.
